Ollie is 6 months old already!

I cant believe we've had him for 2 months already! In one way it seems hes been around forever, and in another it seems like we just got him!

I just realized I havent posted any pictures of him since we got him!

I usually bathe him once a week but last night he got his "birthday bath" and smells like vanilla cupcake, ha! (Sephora vanilla cupcake is to die for!)
He also got a shave, and a trim around his eyes and mouth.

Well we're not buried yet! BUT, we do have a foot of new snow, craziness!!

This is my backyard, taken around noon yesterday.
(pay no mind to my gazebo that was blown over in the wind storm we had shortly after Christmas. there is way to much snow to dig it out)

Stay safe,
Stay warm,
Have a great weekend!!

Blizzard of '77 Anniversary

A look back 32 years ago, Im sure some of you remember this?

I was only 1, sadly I dont remember! I would LOVE to see this first hand!!! How cool would this be???

Great Lakes Blizzard of 1977
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Blizzard of ’77 was a deadly blizzard that hit Buffalo, New York and the area around it in New York and Ontario (and to a lesser extent, surrounding regions) from January 28 to February 1, 1977. Daily peak gusts of 69, 51, 52, 58 and 46 miles per hour (111, 82, 84, 93, and 74 km/h) were recorded during this period at the Buffalo National Weather Service office (National Weather Service Buffalo Office 2006a).

In the hardest struck areas snowmobiles became the only viable method of transportation. In Western New York and Southern Ontario, snow built up on frozen Lake Erie and the snow cover on the ground over land at the start of the blizzard provided ample material for the high winds to blow around into huge drifts. The combination of bitter cold, high winds, and blowing snow paralyzed the areas most strongly affected by the storm. Lake Ontario was not frozen, which meant that northern New York did not have to deal with previously accumulated snow blowing off the lake’s surface. This did allow for considerable lake effect snow to occur, that when coupled with the existing snow cover and wind also created paralysis.

What an amazing thing! Altho, Im sure those that had to deal with it would say otherwise!

I would LOVE to hear your Blizzard of '77 stories and see photos if anyone has them!!

Extreme Prim Rabbit Hangers

Well I did it! I purchased a pattern, well actually 2 but ran out of printer ink so I had Jas print it out for me yesterday. By the time he got home last night it was too late to get started so I just started on these 2.

This first one is a Moonchilds Primitives pattern and I just LOVE how he turned out!

This second one is my own pattern, he is actually fairly big. I had a HUGE allergy attack in making the carrots for these guys, Im extremely allergic to sweet annie!! It wasnt pretty!!

I also got a pattern from Vicky at Old Homestead Barn and I cant wait to get started on him! Ill post pics when Im finished!!

Other than that Ive been crafting like crazy, seems its all I do anymore.

Country Sampler - WTG Linda:)

It was way too cold to run out to the mailbox yesterday so I waited for DH to get home to bring it in, ha! I just KNEW that my Country Sampler was out there waiting for me. (I saw Duane our mailman stick it in the box)
I could barely control myself ALL day waiting to settle in my cozy chair with my fuzzy blanket so I could read Lindas article! I must tell you as I sat there reading and drooling I felt proud to beable to say I "know" Linda, through blogging!

Her home is beautiful and the article was wonderful with her little decorating tips!

Congrats to you Linda, thank you for being an inspriation to ALL of us!!

A few new things!

Hey Everyone!

Ive been busy trying to stay warm! WOWIE, was it cold or what?

I took the plunge and opened my Etsy shop back up and listed a few things on ebay. The heart on my header actually did pretty good on ebay so I made another and got it listed. I also made up some, well a TON of different shaped heart bowlfillers and have some prim stars sitting on top of the wood burner now.

I made 2 different size and shaped heart door greeters from my own pattern. Im still too afraid to purchase a pattern and give it a go so I make up my own!

I was also offered an opportunity to peddle my prims at a craft show in Oct of this year. I have thought about it hard since Saturday and am still thinking. Its a great chance to get out there but its over 2 hours away and I have NEVER done a craft show so I have no idea what to expect or anything!

STAY WARM!
