Its been a rough few weeks

Ive got ALOT to catch up on! This pneumonia sure did wipe me out!

Tuesday I woke feeling GREAT. After about an hour I started having severe abdominal pains that had me pretty much doubled over. The pains got worse and Thurs night I didnt sleep at all because I couldnt find a position that didnt cause so much pain. Luckily yesterday I had a gyno apt scheduled for my yearly pap test.

There is blood in my urine so she immediatly said, bladder infection until she looked further. She is 99% sure it is a kidney stone(s). UGH! She sent me home with an antibiotic as a "just in case" measure and Oxycodone for the pain.

Im telling ya, this pain is unlike anything Ive ever felt in my life, I cant even begin to explain just how bad it is! Ive spent the last 4 days in a ball on the couch, unable to do anything! I couldnt even walk down the hall to the bathroom. The pain meds have taken the edge off, which is good because I was about to die if I had to have that constant pain any longer.

I want to thank Terry and Carolyn for posting about me and my medical issue, ha AND for all of the thoughts and prayers from everyone. Each comment has made me smile a little bit more and feel a bit better.

The 2 pain pills I took this morning made me sick so now Im afraid to take more BUT the ones I took last night made me loopy......yeeeeeeehaaaaaaw, haha!!

I have to call Mon to schedule an apt with the Urologist but Im hoping this lil sucker passes before then.

I did get all of my swap goodies mailed, it was really hard to do bent over but I DID IT!!!! :)

Ive got so much to catch up on, so many great giveaways have been posted, I received both of my swap goodies and cant wait to share pics with you all.

Ive got 2 weeks worth of neglecting my house with Thanksgiving just around the corner so I need to catch up on that before anything. The pneumonia really knocked me down, Im still not feeling all that great from that!

Thank you again for all of your thoughts and prayers and Ill try to get back as soon as I am caught up on house stuff. Heck, I even had Jas put all of my Christmas decor in the basement - I said forget it, Ill never get to it!!

Awwwww girlie! It's great to see you up and feeling somewhat better.
Just make sure you keep up on the meds, and try not to do too much yet.
Carolyn and I were both getting pretty scared about you.
I was on the Oxycodone right after the car accident for a while, and you're right....they do make you feel loopy, and loonie as a goon. hahaha!
If I lived closer I'd come and help ya too.
Take care!
Terry

I have heard the pain is worse than labor pains. My BIL has them...my sister has taken him to the hospital many times with him curled up in the floor of the car..and he is a big guy!
I sure hope better days are ahead for you! Eat something with protein before you take your meds!

Oh Jenn you poor thing!! I've never had kidney stones, but a gf did and she said it was actually worse than childbirth! - maybe because the outcome isn't as good! LOL

You take care - I had pain pills make me sick before, but just try and eat and take maybe 1/2 of one - don't try and do with out it.

Sorry you've been having such a rough time. I had a kidney stone once and it's TERRIBLE! It's way worse than having a baby or anything else that's ever happened to me. I can't imagine having that on top of the other problems you've been having. I hope you recover soon! -Jeanette in Calgary

Jenn, glad you are back & I hope you can pass the stone. The pain you are in sounds horrible. I wish I could come over and help you, too. Take care of yourself. Have your hubbie do the turkey this year, LOL. By the way, the stuff I'm making, some I keep, some I give as gifts.

blessings,

Hey Jenn! Bless your heart! I hope you are feeling much beter and that the stone passes on its own.
Please don't worry about what the house looks like. It will be just fine. The people who love you just want you to be well. And I hope by that day, you will feel like enjoying the holiday with your family.

Jenn!!! There you are!!! I was beginning to wonder where ya went, and I was right...On the Sofa!!! That has been working for me, too.

Now....I don't know if you have been in my house spying on me, but I have had a UTI about 3 times in two weeks...no blood, but I can tell you I have been in some intense pain and discomfort, too! Not fun with a cold...is it?!?!

Good to see ya out here!
Get well, and stop worrying about the house...two weeks of crap can wait TWO MORE WEEKS if your health is the issue...won't need a house if you push yourself too hard!

Hey Jenn...
Just found your "reply" and I didn't even THINK of it being related to this flu/virus/cold/hellatiousness that we have had...LOL!

You don't know even HALF my story of how I have spent the last year DECLUTTERING...you'll have to go to my blog and go back to September of Last year when I found out I was Critical...Anemia...as in NO IRON at all in my blood...LOL! Transfusions, Intravenous Iron Treatments, and many days spent like a corpse...then you will know what I've been going thru for a year now!!! LOL!

You CAN contact me thru regular EMAIL, ya know!!!

Bless your heart, Jenn! I've had kidney stones...and it's definitely the worse pain I've EVER experienced! I had one on a plane back from Hawaii, I've had them a couple of different times at home, and worst of all...I had 4of them at the end of my pregnancy with Joy. They couldn't do anything really about the pain because of expecting! I tell everyone...I'd rather give birth anyday than have a kidney stone... I'm definitely praying for you..Jenn! I had folks at my church praying for me and come to find out...the very time they were praying for me...the stone passed from my kidney into my bladder (at that point the pain is completely gone). So prayer works! Hang in there!

Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery! I know those pain pills can make you feel weird. Try taking 1 or 1 1/2. That seemed to work better for me. Anyway, rest up, and feel better! My prayers are still with you!
