Thrift store finds and new bunnies

Its VERY rare when I walk into a thrift shop and out with something in my hands!
Im serious - its different in NY, there is usually NOTHING! And I look closely!

Saturday I took my handmades into the shop where I am on consigment and we decided to hit a few shops.

I ended up with a breadboard, a wooden tray, a little shelf and a recipe box all for $12.60 (pay no attention to my craft table)

We also hit an antique/junk shop and I picked up this great bowl for $17.90 (a little high I think) candle sticks and a magazine rack.

Then on Sunday Jas asked if I wanted to go to the flea market! I didnt find too much as it was too cold for the vendors to set up outside but I did find 2 sets of round paper mache boxes, large ones for $3 total! Now I get to paint everything:)

After the flea market we stopped at a camera shop so I could learn a little about these DSLR cameras I SO BADLY want! Ive got it narrowed down to a Canon Rebel XSi. Now I just have to shop around and see pricing because I also want to get a Macro lens for it:)

I can tell you one thing, if youre on the market for a DSLR and you like LIVE VIEW, make sure your new camera has this feature. NOT ALL DSLR cameras are equipped with this. If I had not researched yesterday and just went out to buy I would have had NO IDEA about that!!

I also finished up a few bunnies.

This first one is a Chestnut Junction pattern, I think she turned out so cute!

This is Beckys (TRP) free pattern shes offering this month. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this guy. His ears are bendable and hes actually pretty big:)

And this is another freebie pattern from Sweetpeas Primitives. He is supposed to be a makedo but I didnt have anything to use for a base so I just made him into a sitter.

We're in for some warmer temps this week. Im so happy about that! I cant wait to open some windows for fresh air!!

If you havent signed up for my giveaway PLEASE do. Ill be adding a few things:)

I think we have something in common. Everything made of wood at the thrift shop really needs to go home with me :) Your bunnies are adorable :)

Jenn you really got some great items there....I really love the magazine rack!

Your creativity just goes on and on! Love all the bunnies and I think making the last one a SITTER is just as nice as on a spindle/spool.

Jenn, you did great! That may seem high for the bowl, but not around here! If you are lucky, you might get a small one for $35.-$50.00!!! And it usually isn't very old either! I can't even tell you howe much $$$ I have spent on bowls & trenchers over the years! They were once an obsessoion with me until I had more than I knew what to do with! So I sold several. I still have quite a few nice ones though.
Love the bunnies too. Your talent is amazing!
Enjoy the rest of your week!

Hi Jill!

No, luckily we are about 20 miles from Clarence. It IS a horrible tragedy, my aches for the families of those lost! This crash is bigtime for NY!

Thank you for thinking of me, you made my day:)

Oh Jenn, Thank God you guys are not affected!! But your area must be abuzz with excitement even though you are 20 miles away.

A woman I work with has a niece that lives/going to college in Buffalo but isnt sure how far away she lives.

What sad news. Have a great day though, we are trying here a work, lol!!
