Another hutch to make-over

A before shot!

Im so excited for this one. Got this from CL this afternoon. I imagined it painted black with maybe red over the black? Not sure yet! Ill work on it this week in hopes of putting in my booth on Saturday.

After a quick take of the doors shot,

see the potential here?

Im not sure if Ill have Jas make me new doors or frame around the outside to show very little shelves, or maybe Ill just leave it as a stepback type!

Also wanted to post a pic of the hanging colonial cupboard he made me last weekend. I got as far as painting it black. It rained here all week so the paint wouldnt dry for me. This is his FIRST cupboard piece and he did an amazing job. Hes out in the shop making another one right now for my booth:)

Ive got quite a bit to share in the upcoming weeks so please check back......

Hey Jenn! Leave it as a stepback-style, that's my advise. I love the cupboard Jason made! How much will you be charging??

That cupboard is going to look great! Like it much better without the doors! I like the one your hubby made! Wish I could get mine to do that. He is a carpenter but seems like he always has something better to do. Ha! Can't wait to see what else you have coming!

OMW, what a difference it made taking the doors off! What a good eye you have for seeing the potential in a piece.
It must be so nice to have someone who can make you a custom piece like that hanging cupboard.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you do to the first piece.

I say leave it as is... I can't tell from the picture whether the finish is worn, but I'd be tempted to leave it as is. I think adding a little plain wood finish to the decor makes others colors pop against it.

Yep I want one of those too. If only I could get Steve to finish my TV cabinet first. LOL

Nice hutch. I'll be interested to see what you do. I do like the doors however, you could send them to me if you are not going to use them. I like the detail.

So proud of Jason too. He's also got talent. I know you must be thrilled that he is building things for you now.
