Jenn,
This is ALWAYS a hit whenever I fix it or wherever I take it!!
I always come home with an empty pan!!
http://www.recipezaar.com/Coconut-Cherry-Dump-Cake-207541

I found the recipe on recipe zaar
and it's very close to what I follow...I like the yellow cake better than the white that some recipes list...you may leave out the coconut and chopped pecans if you like...but I love it all...just watch the baking time...they list it for 55 minutes or so...I find it's better if you DO NOT bake it until the top is dark golden brown...take a fork and lift a small amount to see if the cake part is done and not "gooey"...if it's done...then you're ready to take it out...I'd say around 30-40 minutes depending on how your oven heats and all...the kiddos would love to help with this one! Just basically, dump, dump, sprinkle,drizzle,sprinkle,sprinkle,bake....then enjoy!!
The ice cream part isn't necessary if you are going to take it somewhere...it's good enough by itself!!
That Holy Cow Cake is another good dessert recipe...always another huge hit!

I always like to take a make ahead mashed potatoe recipe that I make in the crockpot. It can even be made up a day or two ahead.
10 large potatoes, peeled
1 cup sour cream (8 oz)
1 pkg cream cheese (8 oz)
6 T. butter
2 T minced onion
1tsp salt
Cook potatoes, drain and mash. Add ingredients. You can melt some butter and drizzle over the top after placing them in a pan. You can use a 13 x 9, a casserole, or a crock pot. Refrigerate or bake immediately, covered, at 350 for 40 minutes and uncovered for 20 more minutes. Put on low in a crock pot. If cold, let stand to room temp before baking.
Yield: 12 servings

Good luck.

Hey Jenn,

Hmmm..let me think about it and look at my recipes. Are you looking for something sweet or other?

I just wanted to thank you for the birthday wishes too!

Have a great day, girl!

You could do a turtle cake. Chocolate, caramel, whipped topping.... I took it to a family gathering and got rave reviews. I think the recipe is on my blog but if not, email me at cmdarlin@hotmail.com and I'll send it to you.

Take care,
Debbie
