Another re-do!

Morning Everyone!

This is another re-do Ive been working on. Ive got SO many projects going on, seriously, sewing, printing, cutting, painting, staining, stuffing, sanding, everyday duties and STILL haven't finished the trim work in Kins bedroom yet! Ive been making a list every morning of things I want to finish THAT day, so far its been working out without getting to overwhelmed!

I picked up this set of bowls for $4 during my last GW trip. I LOVE how they turned out. Now I just need to find a bowl rack to display them, right now I have nothing. So they may end up getting packed away until I can find something.

Before

After

Should I stain them or leave as is?

Jen, I can't believe how beautiful the bowls turned out. When I saw the before picture I thought to myself - hmmmm, what is going to become of those....AND LOOK WHAT YOU TURNED THEM INTO....very, very nice.

I've been using brown boot polish on most of my painted projects. As long as you aren't using them for food of course. It gives them a slight sheen but not shiny.

I would probably lightly stain them.... but I think thats a matter of how you like things to be finished. I prefer to stain them as it seals the paint.

Love how your bowls turned out, Jenn! I would add some stain to them, but then, I STAIN EVERYTHING! LOL! Great finds!

Have a wonderful day

WOW - Those bowls look great. They turned out wonderfully, but I personally add a little stain to everything to give them a little bit more of a prim look.

Thanks for sharing!!

Blessings,
Lisa

i agree with the shoe polish tip. it works wonderfully and easier to find than briwax.

Jenn, you did an awesome job on those bowls! I always stain over my paint just to seal the paint. But they look great as is too!

I can't wait to see the rest of your thigns, especially the square candle holders!

You have some really great finds from the GW. I love how your bowls turned out but I would add some stain just to give them that finished look.

Love those bowls!! I found some of the same ones at my GW a few months ago and was wondering how to finish them. Thanks for sharing yours. I would most likely add some gel stain to them...I think it helps seal the paint.
