Workin on some make-overs!

Hey Guys!

Been about a week since I last posted!

Last Sat I spent close to 3 hours setting up my booth and pricing everything! My nerves finally got to me Saturday night and I was quite the sicky icky! I'm over the nervous bit and am just blown away by all of this!

I just started 9 months ago....remember? Back in Nov Jason's aunt traded me her sewing machine for Bella's bassinet and I was clueless! It didn't take me that long to catch on but what an improvement from then til now! Who woulda thought I would actually have my very own booth in a prim shop??!! Not me!

So Ive been working on swaps items for Janene, what a sweetpea she is!
You should see this BIG box of goodies she sent me! I almost died when I opened the box a little while ago! WOW!

Janene - you are AWESOME and I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything!!
Because you sent me so much, you have to wait another day before I can ship out your goodies:) I have to get to my booth to get some more prims for ya!!!!

I will be posting pics of my goodies from Janene as soon as my cam battery is charged! For some reason my one battery is not holding a charge and its pretty much brand new:( So I'm only working with one battery here! They are SO darn expensive!

Ive also been finishing up a few wooden items to take to my booth in hopes they will sell, although I'm not real sure what to price them at!

Ive got so many more wooden things to get painted and primmed and decided if I want to keep them or not!

Thank you ALL for your wonderful comments on my last post. They made my day all the more bearable!

Ill be back soon to post pics of my goodies from Janene:)

A Re-do and FINALLY a few finds!

I can NOT believe we're almost in July!

Our weather has been pretty funny, last Saturday I actually had the furnace on!

We went from pretty much cold to way too hot, but Im really not complaining!

My craft show on Saturday was a wash out! It was cold and rained ALL day! There was no way I was going to set up under my tent with the rain blowing side ways to ruin all of my hand mades, so I have this HUGE collection of Americana prims sitting in bins. I ran an ad on CL yesterday, I am having a sale right here at my house this Saturday to see if I can get most of this sold, who knows my Birthday Giveaway may come to the winner in a few boxes, ha!

Ive been hitting some good sales, every so often and the stuff is just piling up in the basement and garage. I wanted to get it ALL together and take one big fat pic but that didnt happen so Im posting what I have just sitting in the garage for now!

I didnt get a before shot of my breadbox re-do but Im sure youll get the idea

And a few things Ive found at recent garage sales,

Look at the shelf - $15, already primmed up! BUT its already had a coat of black because it had some sort of gold paint on it that just wasnt me. And I figured Ide get sick of the stars after a while so gone they are!
There are 2 of the little chairs but one is being used in the house

Stay tuned cause I got lots more:)

Another re-do!

Morning Everyone!

This is another re-do Ive been working on. Ive got SO many projects going on, seriously, sewing, printing, cutting, painting, staining, stuffing, sanding, everyday duties and STILL haven't finished the trim work in Kins bedroom yet! Ive been making a list every morning of things I want to finish THAT day, so far its been working out without getting to overwhelmed!

I picked up this set of bowls for $4 during my last GW trip. I LOVE how they turned out. Now I just need to find a bowl rack to display them, right now I have nothing. So they may end up getting packed away until I can find something.

Before

After

Should I stain them or leave as is?

Thrift store finds and new bunnies

Its VERY rare when I walk into a thrift shop and out with something in my hands!
Im serious - its different in NY, there is usually NOTHING! And I look closely!

Saturday I took my handmades into the shop where I am on consigment and we decided to hit a few shops.

I ended up with a breadboard, a wooden tray, a little shelf and a recipe box all for $12.60 (pay no attention to my craft table)

We also hit an antique/junk shop and I picked up this great bowl for $17.90 (a little high I think) candle sticks and a magazine rack.

Then on Sunday Jas asked if I wanted to go to the flea market! I didnt find too much as it was too cold for the vendors to set up outside but I did find 2 sets of round paper mache boxes, large ones for $3 total! Now I get to paint everything:)

After the flea market we stopped at a camera shop so I could learn a little about these DSLR cameras I SO BADLY want! Ive got it narrowed down to a Canon Rebel XSi. Now I just have to shop around and see pricing because I also want to get a Macro lens for it:)

I can tell you one thing, if youre on the market for a DSLR and you like LIVE VIEW, make sure your new camera has this feature. NOT ALL DSLR cameras are equipped with this. If I had not researched yesterday and just went out to buy I would have had NO IDEA about that!!

I also finished up a few bunnies.

This first one is a Chestnut Junction pattern, I think she turned out so cute!

This is Beckys (TRP) free pattern shes offering this month. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this guy. His ears are bendable and hes actually pretty big:)

And this is another freebie pattern from Sweetpeas Primitives. He is supposed to be a makedo but I didnt have anything to use for a base so I just made him into a sitter.

We're in for some warmer temps this week. Im so happy about that! I cant wait to open some windows for fresh air!!

If you havent signed up for my giveaway PLEASE do. Ill be adding a few things:)

New finds and some fall pics

I picked these up over the weekend at a yard sale.
The wooden box is just awesome! It was a very nice older woman selling, she lost her husband in the Spring and told me he used to use this box as his tool box. Its actually quite heavy so we joked around wondering how he carried it around. The jug I also bought from her, she had a few large crocks for $5 ea which she offered to me plus the jug for $10 total BUT I really dont have the room for the larger crocks plus my menagerie would break them, so I just took the jug for $2:)

And this is some of my fall decor that I have out. I dont have alot of fall decorations, prim style anyhow!
