Finishes

Ive got a few new finishes to share, but I wanted to post Liberty 1st.

Ive tried and tried to get the perfect picture of her because the ones I have dont show the detail and all of the shading. The more light I let in the more it drowned her out. The less light I let in made her nose flourescent and she is not by any means. She is absolutely beautiful!!! She was made from a Crow About Primitives patterns, I just changed her up a little bit. When I was looking through my stash of fabric for her dress I decided to make her an americana gal!

I just love her!!!!

A few others to share.......

A Sweetpeas Primitive pattern

A Bird In the Hand Primitives pattern

All available by custom order:)

I just ordered 5 new patterns this morning to stop back by in about a week for new offerings!

I had the best time making this guy and watching him come to life. My hands definitely took a beating for this one:)

This is a Kim Kohler pattern, I just LOVE her designs!

Ill be listing him on my selling blog later this morning.

I cant believe its March already! Where does the time go?
Don't forget to Spring Ahead Saturday night:) I'm so excited for longer days. My day lilies are starting to peek out from the frozen ground. It wont be long now!!

Jason surprised me last night with this guy.

His name is Cha Cha! Hes a Canary and his song is beautiful! Have you ever heard a Canary sing? OMGOSH! Hes been serenading me ALL morning long. I just LOVE him! I lost my RF Canary a few months ago to a tragic feline accident and was devastated. I missed him so much so you can imagine my surprise when Jason walked in with a teeny box. I knew RIGHT away what was in there:)

If you haven't had the chance to experience the song of a Canary, please do!

Well this post took me about 20 mins. Took forever to upload my pics! That's never happened to me before!! SO that's about it for me. Still working on a bedroom makeover in between crafting.

~~UPDATED~~

If you have my selling blog linked to your blog I need a HUGE favor!
Im so so sorry and such a dork! I just ordered business cards and realized I left out an "I" in primitives when I created my selling blog. So I had to fix my blog address to reflect the changes. If you have me linked I just need you to stick a teeny tiny "I" after the m. Thanks much!

Have you signed up for my Giveaway yet?

NO? How come?
Get on ova there and sign yourself up!!

Click on the picture to the left to enter:)

I also joined Janae & Pam and opened a selling blog:)
Its called Yankee Ridge Primitives! You can also find that by clicking the picture to the left. Why Yankee Ridge Primitives you ask?
Well..........I am a Yankee after all, and Ridge came to mind because if you're from my area you're familiar with Route 104, also known as Ridge Rd. Its a pretty long stretch of rd passing through numerous towns and counties and people around here refer to it as "over the Ridge" if your over Rt 104 or "before the Ridge" if you're before it! Thus, Yankee Ridge Primitives was born:)

Ive been pretty busy with a few of my own patterns
I just love these lil guys with the tails, ha!

This is a Sweatpeas Primitives make do pattern. I actually made him a few weeks back but didn't have the make do part, while out thrifting 2 weekends ago I found some candle sticks. I made another Herbert with his stitchery egg:)

Ill be drawing a winner the night of Feb 22nd and posting the winner Monday morning, so get your entry in:)

Thrift store finds and new bunnies

Its VERY rare when I walk into a thrift shop and out with something in my hands!
Im serious - its different in NY, there is usually NOTHING! And I look closely!

Saturday I took my handmades into the shop where I am on consigment and we decided to hit a few shops.

I ended up with a breadboard, a wooden tray, a little shelf and a recipe box all for $12.60 (pay no attention to my craft table)

We also hit an antique/junk shop and I picked up this great bowl for $17.90 (a little high I think) candle sticks and a magazine rack.

Then on Sunday Jas asked if I wanted to go to the flea market! I didnt find too much as it was too cold for the vendors to set up outside but I did find 2 sets of round paper mache boxes, large ones for $3 total! Now I get to paint everything:)

After the flea market we stopped at a camera shop so I could learn a little about these DSLR cameras I SO BADLY want! Ive got it narrowed down to a Canon Rebel XSi. Now I just have to shop around and see pricing because I also want to get a Macro lens for it:)

I can tell you one thing, if youre on the market for a DSLR and you like LIVE VIEW, make sure your new camera has this feature. NOT ALL DSLR cameras are equipped with this. If I had not researched yesterday and just went out to buy I would have had NO IDEA about that!!

I also finished up a few bunnies.

This first one is a Chestnut Junction pattern, I think she turned out so cute!

This is Beckys (TRP) free pattern shes offering this month. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this guy. His ears are bendable and hes actually pretty big:)

And this is another freebie pattern from Sweetpeas Primitives. He is supposed to be a makedo but I didnt have anything to use for a base so I just made him into a sitter.

We're in for some warmer temps this week. Im so happy about that! I cant wait to open some windows for fresh air!!

New Prim Bunny

Hi Friends!!

Just wanted to send Cheryl (Tidymom) a quick shout of thanks for helping me with my camera dilema/decision! Thanks girlie:)

And also show you what Ive been working on! OMG, I am SO addicted to patterns. Holy cow - never thought Ide purchase a pattern in my whole life! But once I got one, it was all downhill from there. I still like to draw up my own patterns. Believe it or not, I get MOST if not ALL of my inspiration from Noggin, you know that pre-school on tv for kids? Im serious!! Its ON ALL DAY LONG, if I walk by and see something I like I quick grab my pencil and paper and draw it up:) Ha, how funny is that?

Now, this is Chipper! I had SO much fun watching this guy come to life! Even Jas likes him, he says hes the best one Ive done so far!

This is an Olde Homestead Barn pattern = check her out - shes got AWESOME patterns.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

Extreme Prim Rabbit Hangers

Well I did it! I purchased a pattern, well actually 2 but ran out of printer ink so I had Jas print it out for me yesterday. By the time he got home last night it was too late to get started so I just started on these 2.

This first one is a Moonchilds Primitives pattern and I just LOVE how he turned out!

This second one is my own pattern, he is actually fairly big. I had a HUGE allergy attack in making the carrots for these guys, Im extremely allergic to sweet annie!! It wasnt pretty!!

I also got a pattern from Vicky at Old Homestead Barn and I cant wait to get started on him! Ill post pics when Im finished!!

Other than that Ive been crafting like crazy, seems its all I do anymore.

Im listing these guys on my ebay if anyone is interested:)
